Schyler Marsh New “National Operations Advisor” Introduction

Brothers,

As was stated in the last issue of the AGODelphian, AGO has recently hired a new National Operations Advisor, Schyler Marsh, to take over for Owen Welch. Owen has been an incredible asset to the growth and furthering of Alpha Gamma Omega. We are thankful that Owen will continue to stay involved as a volunteer in the coming years.

Our new National Operations Advisor, Schyler Marsh, is a recent graduate of West Chester University in PA and a member of the Psi chapter. Schyler shared some of his thoughts and feelings on beginning this position:

I am honored and delighted to begin working with AGO. I have a great desire to assist with the advancement of the fraternity under guidance from excellent leaders like Hector Perea, Jim Johnson, CJ Moss, and Owen Welch. What excites me most about this new pursuit with AGO, along with spearheading the majority of the administrative aspect, is the opportunity to learn and grow alongside fellow men of God. Hebrews 10:24, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds.” This verse speaks to such an important component of AGO since we should be pushing our fellow brothers to be better followers of Jesus while also being willing to receive the same. I experienced this as an active and I look forward to being encouraged and encouraging others as a member of staff.

I want to emphasize that while I may be in a leadership position, I am still a fellow AGO brother. I will strive to be reachable and approachable under all circumstances. I value the opinions of others and believe that every member should be an eager participant in their chapter while being encouraged to share their thoughts on issues.

I would like to thank Owen for taking me under his wing and offering insightful and intentional guidance and training. Owen and the National leadership have cultivated a well-oiled machine that has created a smooth transition. Their vision for the future is exciting and I hope to be able to contribute to the furthering of AGO as a whole. Luke 17:21 speaks on how the Kingdom is here in our midst already, so it’s essential to continue to do the good work on our campuses and to bring fellow brothers into the brotherhood and be witnesses to those around us.

Outside of work, Schyler enjoys participating in sports, playing music in a band with his three siblings, and traveling. He has four siblings and a nephew on the way due in September 2022.
