The New AGO Director of Spiritual Life

We are pleased to announce our newly hired Director of Spiritual Life, Maximilian “Gambit” Discar, 330E!

Through your generous support and donations to AGO Ministries, Alpha Gamma Omega was able to hire Max as our second full-time staff. He will be working alongside Owen “Gillespie” Welch, Z-254, who will be staying on an additional year as our Operations Advisor. More communication about how Max and Owen will work together will be sent in the coming weeks.

We are excited for how the Lord will move through Max and how AGO will benefit from having two full-time staff for the first time.

Here’s is a little bit about Max in his own words:

“Hi! My name is Max, but you can call me “Gambit” if you’d like! Ask me how I got this name when we meet!

This past May, I graduated with a Master of Divinity from Azusa Pacific University! In other words, I paid money to study the Bible. Lol

At Epsilon, I had the great privilege of being Chaplain for three terms in a row before I graduated, which was an amazing season that ignited a deep desire for leading others in discovering Jesus together. Our walks with the Lord are not disconnected, isolated relationships apart from the body of Christ, but rather a beautiful symphony of unique personalities, talents, gifts, and abilities. My hope and vision is that as we get to know each other, we would be able to identify our different God-given strengths and weaknesses for the sake of sharpening each other in the faith, and discipling those in our communities. I love Matthew 9:36-38

“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’” (Mat. 9:36-38)

My prayer isn’t that God would send more people to AGO (though that would be fantastic!), but rather, I pray that AGO would be a place where God would raise up “laborers” who are faithful to His call, and willing to be sent into his harvest–fully equipped with spiritual and practical tools of discipline and discipleship.

Strong the Ties!

Your Brother in Christ,

Maximilian “Gambit” Discar, 330E
