WHAT ARE CHAPTER EXCELLENCE FUNDS?

The Chapter Excellence Funds are dedicated to providing financial support for the specific Chapters of Alpha Gamma Omega. These funds directly contribute to:

  • Spiritual and pastoral oversight for chapter members

  • Leadership training and development

  • Evangelism and outreach grants

  • Professional networking opportunities

  • Membership scholarships

About Alpha Gamma Omega

Founded in 1927, Alpha Gamma Omega (AGO) is a student-run, Christ-centered fraternity dedicated to fostering leadership, faith, and brotherhood among university men. AGO has earned a reputation as a “leadership factory” for young Christian men, equipping them to become future leaders in their careers, ministries, churches, and families.

AGO’s unique autonomous leadership structure allows students to develop their God-given leadership skills while fostering deep spiritual growth. New members undergo comprehensive training focused on faith, selflessness, and service to the Brotherhood. Upon completing this training, they take on leadership roles such as Treasurer, House Manager, Social Coordinator, Chaplain, Pledgemaster, or even executive positions like Chapter President. These roles go beyond just running a fraternity—they equip men to further the Kingdom of God through discipleship, evangelism, and service.

While fraternities often have negative stereotypes, AGO exists to redefine that narrative—we are 100% Christian and 100% Fraternity. Our members are boots-on-the-ground servants for Christ on their campuses.

The Role of AGOm

AGOm serves as the ministry arm of Alpha Gamma Omega, providing spiritual and strategic oversight to AGO chapters. Through Regional Advisors, who are trained ministers serving in full- or part-time roles, AGOm ensures that each chapter is equipped for both operational excellence and Christ-centered leadership. These advisors also organize Executive Leadership Retreats, which are essential for training our student leaders in ministry and campus engagement.

How You Can Support

These funds are specifically designed to support your chapter by financing:

✅ Regional staff oversight and travel (~$3,000-$6,000/yr)
✅ Leadership training for student officers (~$2,000-$4,000/yr)
✅ Evangelism and outreach grants (~10%)
✅ Scholarships for students in need (~10%)

Our annual goal is to raise $12,000, which will directly fund these initiatives.

This goal can be met with just 20 donors giving $50/month.

If we surpass this goal, the additional support will be allocated to Leadership Development and grants, as well as extended support to other AGO chapters and expansion efforts across the Nation.

All contributions to AGOm are tax-deductible. While AGOm maintains full discretion over the use of donated funds, we are committed to honoring the donor's intended designation whenever possible.

You can also support our General Fund. These funds go to all operations of AGOm, including supporting our chapters.

You can also support specific initiatives within AGOm. If you are passionate about a specific aspect within AGO, we encourage to support these Funds:

  • Expansion Fund - Funding new AGO Chapters by paying for their start-up costs and establishing a "nest egg" for operations. We aim to give $2,500-$5,000 one-time grants to each new expansion. These are available if we have designated funds.
  • Leadership Training Fund - Funding our Leadership Training Events and Retreats. These trainings directly correlate to the successful operations of our chapters and the spiritual investment of our student leaders. These events can be costly, so this fund helps offset the costs for our students to attend these events cost-free. Our current aim is to have $20,000/yr solely dedicated to providing Leadership Training events at a National and Regional level.
