Is AGO like a church?

Though we’re are centered on following and spreading the teachings of Christ, AGO is not a church. It is a fraternity, a life-long brotherhood designed to grow young men as followers of Christ and impact our universities for him. We strongly encourage our brothers to be apart of local congregations and campus ministries to find additional Christian fellowship.

What about alcohol?

AGO does not allow alcohol at our events, parties, and in chapter houses. We require our members to adhere to the biblical standard regarding alcohol. We expect our members to be above reproach and honor Christ in all their actions.

What about hazing?

We do not haze in AGO. As followers of Christ, we believe that pledges are our brothers in Christ and should be treated as such. Additionally, we have strict, ant-hazing code of standards and conduct that we follow and make clearly known to all men that pledge.

How much does it cost to be a member?

Chapter membership dues vary by school, but are typically around $350 per quarter or $500 per semester. Pledge dues are typically $200 to $300. These primarily support functions of the chapter, along with covering some national operational expenses.

Yes! Alpha Delta Chi (ADX) is our sister sorority. We do many of our social, service, and outreach events with them. To learn more about our sisters in Christ, go to http://alphadeltachi.org/
